15 March, sunny
The person I worked alongside today is far better than I am. Watching him work, I had a moment of feeling small, and a moment of wanting to step away.
But I stayed. Not out of stubbornness — I worked something out: you improve fastest where you feel stupid.
Around people weaker than you, it is easy to be comfortable and easy to stand still. Around people stronger than you, it is uncomfortable, but every day forces a little growth. Discomfort and growth are often two sides of one thing.
Don’t fear being behind. Fear being somewhere no one makes you want to catch up.
I asked three questions today that may have sounded naive. Worth it.
